LISTOS

LISTOS (www.cfalistos.org) is a state-wide grassroots disaster preparedness program that can be tailored to meet the individual needs of Spanish and Mandarin-speaking communities, as well as English-speaking seniors.  Family-oriented and conversational, the program is delivered in a format that is both culturally and linguistically appropriate for Coastside residents. This class focuses on how to protect yourself and your family in a disaster or emergency. Topics include Identifying Risks & Dangers, Communication Plans, Evacuation Plans, Utility Interruptions, Fire Extinguisher Use, Disaster Kits, Victim Treatment, Home Organization & Emotional Support.  The 8 hour course is taught in multiple sessions in person or via Zoom. Graduates receive a student manual, a completion certificate, and a  graduation gift of personal emergency preparedness supplies as long as supplies last.

A class will be held when a neighborhood or organization self-organizes a minimum of 10 people who want to participate in the whole class. Please contact Coastside CERT at coastsidecert@gmail.com.  We will coordinate instructors and class locations, as appropriate.
