December 2019

Thursday, November 5, 7 - 8:30pm: Moss Beach Neighborhood Emergency Prep meeting. This meeting will start with an overview of where we stand today for Coastside emergency preparedness and then will deep dive into the specific priorities and organization of Moss Beach, giving the neighborhood's residents a chance to get to know each other and plan next steps. Location: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Moss Beach (475 California Avenue, Moss Beach, CA 94038; please park in the back lot). Please RSVP.

Saturday, December 7th, 2019, 10am - 11am: Frenchman's Creek Emergency Preparedness Training. This training happens on the first Saturday of each month at Frenchman's Creek Park. Bring your own chair! This session's topic is Security: Personal Security and Hardening the Home. All Coastside residents welcome!

Monday, December 9th, 2019, 7pm: El Granada Block Captains orientation meeting. El Granada is organized into 9 zones that are managed by Zone Leads. The zones are further broken out into blocks with Block Captains. In the event of an emergency, the Block Captains would check on the needs of their blocks and report up to the Zone Leads who then will be in contact with the communication hubs that connect into the EOC (Emergency Operations Center) for the Coastside. This will drastically save time and get the limited resources to exactly where they are needed more efficiently. If you are a block lead or want to volunteer, please come to the meeting at the Harbor District Building, 504 Ave Alhambra, on the 3rd floor. Questions? Email egprepared@gmail.com.

Monday, December 9th, 7 - 8:30pm: Rural South HMB Neighborhood Emergency Prep meeting. Rural South HMB is defined as the area south of the City of HMB from Higgins Canyon to Tunitas Creek.
